Just about two week ago, we discovered Jessica’s pregnant. Our first doctor’s appointment is here in a few weeks on April 8th and we couldn’t be more excited. This past week was a rough one for Jessica (morning sickness wise) but she is doing much better and we’re excited for our first doctors appointment. I’m going to make it a point to update this website frequently on the happenings of Jessica’s pregnancy and our exciting adventures into parenthood.
Also, we’ve decided to hold off on moving to Texas until after the baby is born and will be moving into a townhouse in the next 30 days. I’m a little sad we’re not going to make it back to the lone star state this fall or that our first child will not be born a Texan. But after weighing all of our options and looking at all that’s involved in us moving the 1,300 plus or minus miles, (finding jobs, health insurance, new doctors, and no local family) we’ll stay here while the baby is born and then think about moving.
I’ve been asked a lot over the last two weeks if this means we’ve given up on that crazy idea of relocating to Texas, that is, now that we’re expecting our first child. Jessica said it best the other night… simply put, “Hell No.”
I, of course, am very hopeful it’s boy. Jessica, on the other hand, wants a girl. Either way, we’re both very excited!
